Curl Cream FAQs

What does curl cream do?

Curl cream hydrates and defines your natural curl pattern, helping to reduce frizz and enhance curl shape. It’s ideal for styling soft, bouncy curls without stiffness or crunch. Most curl creams don't provide hold though, so if you're wanting longer lasting definition make sure to pair with your favourite curl gel

Can I use curl cream every day?

Techincally yes! Most curl creams are designed for daily use and can be applied to damp hair or used to refreshm depending on your routine. For me, the ultimate goal is a routine where you actually don't need to add anything most days! Just a thorough wash and style once or twice a week and minimal upkeep in between.

What's the difference between curl cream and curl gel?

Curl cream provides moisture and softness, while curl gel offers stronger hold and definition. You can layer them together — apply cream first, then seal with gel.

Will curl cream work on straight hair?

If your hair has even a slight wave or hidden texture, a curl cream may help encourage definition. On straight hair, it can add softness and help to hydrate the hair, but won't create curls where there are none. Depending on your curl texture, you may find using a lightweight curl lotion gives better results.

What's the best curl cream for fine hair?

Trick Question! For many fine haired curlies, curl creams can often be too heavy. Try out a curl mousse or lightweight curl styler like Innersense I Create Volume or Treluxe Reflex Serum.

If your hair is fine but needs a good dose of moisture still, look for a lightweight, water-based cream that adds definition without weighing hair down and use sparingly! You’ll find a few favourites in our collection!
