Curlsmith's Reactivator is a 2nd day hair miracle. The silky, lightweight emulsion sprays effortlessly on the hair, blending instantly with the strands and helping curls spring back to life. It’s an amazing primer, so it works well when layered with your favourite styling product. If you have very fine hair, you can use this instead of your leave-in conditioner, as the super lighweight texture will ensure your curls are moisturised but not weighed down.   • How to use

    Step 1

    Flip your head upside down and fluff your hair at the roots to create volume.

     

    Step 2

    Spray the Reactivator all over the hair, insisting on drier/more frizzy areas.

     

    Step 3

    Smooth frizzy strands to make the product absorb, seal cuticles and lock in moisture.  

     

    Step 4

    Fluff the hair, gently scrunching on the bottom to encourage curls to spring back.

  • CG Status

    On the fence - 

    This product contains isohexadecane. Isohexadecane IS NOT a silicone and IS NOT technically a banned ingredient. It is, however, not water-only soluble. It can be removed with co-washing though.

    According to super smart sciency brain, Tonya McKay, from Naturallycurly.com (who is far more knowledgable than I) this ingredient has a compact, simple hydrocarbon structure meaning it is easily removed, even for those who prefer cowashing.

    Many Curlies across the globe use this product without issue - both CGM followers and 'rebels' who break all the rules. You'll find many of these curlies on Instagram if you'd like to nosey a bit further. 

    Despite the above, a strict Australian and NZ Curly Girl Facebook group has deemed it unworthy of CG Approval - this is why we've labelled it as 'on the fence'. 

    We urge you to do your own research and focus on the benefits of the product, rather than an easily cleansed out ingredient.
