Chai Latte is the perfect cleanser for low porosity, oily hair or hair with moderate buildup. With black tea, burdock root, slippery elm and sage, Chai Latte nourishes as it cleanses without stripping.

 

Available in a 2oz Ecoslay sample size plus an 8oz Pouch for refilling your Ecoslay reuseable Pump jars

 

Please note: Ecoslay Chai Latte contains sodium lauroyl sarcosinate. Whilst these are considered CG-safe by many in the curly community some consider them not CG-Safe.

  • Ingredients

    Black Tea extract, Slippery Elm extract, Sodium Methyl Cocoyl Taurate (Cleanser derived from Coconut fatty acids), Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate, Searamidopropyl Dimethylamine (Natural, food-grade cleanser), Sodium PCA (Natural Amino Acid), Propanediol (Corn-based Preservative-booster), Panthenol, Peppermint oil, Melissa leaf extract, Nettle leaf extract, Horsetail leaf extract, Peppermint leaf extract, Sage extract, Yucca leaf extract, Burdock root extract, Citric acid, Caprylhydroxamic acid GG, Lexfeel WOW (100% plant-based silicone alternative), Vanilla Fruit Oil, Ginger Root Oil, Cinnamon Leaf Oil, Clove Flower Oil.

  • Directions

    For Low Porosity or oily hair:
    As a cleanser:
    1. Apply sparingly directly to scalp
    2. Massage scalp to produce suds
    3. Start at the scalp and work your way through hair strands
    4. Rinse thoroughly.

    Remember to use a separate clarifier monthly to remove the typical buildup that low-porosity hair can experience.

    For High Porosity hair:
    As a monthly clarifier:
    1. Apply sparingly directly to scalp
    2. Massage scalp to produce suds
    3. Start at the scalp and work your way through hair strands
    4. Rinse thoroughly.

    Since Chai Latte may be a bit drying if used regularly, it's suggested that you use Peppermint Schnapps as your regular cleanser

    • Nettle leaves are rich in silica and sulphur. This helps in making hair shinier and healthier.

    Melissa leaf extract

    • Calms the scalp

    Peppermint leaf extract

    • Peppermint is antimicrobial, helping to fight scalp infection.
    • Peppermint is vasodilating (and vasoconstricting), which means that it improves blood circulation. Many cases of hair loss and baldness occurs due to starved blood flow to hair follicles. Increasing circulation improves blood flow and therefore hair growth and slows hair loss.
    • Peppermint is also anti-inflammatory and calming to the scalp.

    Horsetail leaf extract

    • Horsetail extract is rich in minerals for hair, tying horsetail and hair growth together.

  • Is this Vegan

    YES

    Ecoslay states all of their products other than Peppermint Schnapps & Sangria are unquestionably vegan.
    Peppermint Schnapps contains honey, which some consider to not be vegan-approved since honey is obtained from the work of bees. Sangria contains Hydrolyzed Silk which is a deriviant of silkworms.

    Chai Latte does contain Amino Acids, Panthenol, & Fatty Acids however EcoSlay confirms these are plant derived.
