Use & Benefits
Other than the obvious waste packaging reductions -
As a cowash
- Acetic acid gently cleanses the scalp whilst helping to manage and prevent dandruff. It removes excess sebum, removes impurities and brings shine whilst sealing the hairs cuticle layer to lock in moisture.
- Peppermint, Rosemary and Tea Tree oils provide a refreshing, clean sensation and help to prevent over drying of the scalp. Rosemary oil also provides anti-inflammatory properties.
When conditioning
- Behentrimonium Methosulfate (which is not actually a Sulfate - go figure!) is beloved for it's detangling properties. It has the ability to penetrate the hair shaft providing beautiful moisture, without weighing the hair down or building up on the scalp
- Peppermint, Rosemary and Tea Tree oils work together to stimulate blood flow to the hair's follicles supporting healthy hair growth and potentially preventing hair loss. Rosemary Oil is also said to to help treat androgenetic alopecia by preventing a byproduct of testosterone from attacking your hair follicles, which is the cause of this condition (1)
- Cetearyl Alcohol is a fatty alcohol used to help emulsify ingredients with the added benefits of hydrating, moisturising and proectin g your hair. It also aids in providing that "slip" we all so desperately crave.
To leave in
- The combination of ingredients, plus the absence of any heavy butters or oils, makes R+M a favoured option to leave in. It will provide long lasting moisture, without a sticky or tacky feeling.
